Rawlings Of Ghana Set To Interact With Women On Leadership At Isf Conference
The former First
Lady of the Republic of Ghana H.E Mrs Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings has been
billed to engage in a one-on-one conversation with prospective women
participants from varied professions at the International Sheroes Forum ISF,
with a view to creating a platform as a driving force for political and social
change in the world.
IFS is collaborating with New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD) in organising the conference.
The two-day event which is slated to hold at NAF Conference Centre, Kado Kuchi, Abuja, on 24-25th, has its theme as ‘Advancing Women’s Roles in Business Leadership and Governance’, and would feature some discourse on women’s participation in politics, governance, economy, business to drive economic growth. One of the sessions will address the issue of networking with high profile women leaders who are currently shaping the continent’s future, and exchange on best practices and experiences to empower women in business. According to the organisers, the discussions would also focus on an Entrepreneurial Session which would be premised on “funding the next generation of women entrepreneurs and increasing access to international markets. The Ted style talks, however, would give room for remarkable personalities to share personal stories of their journey in a relaxed setting and to give personal and professional inspiration, while the Health and Wellness session will focus on lifestyle balance and finding a connection between the mind, body and spirit to leadership. There will be special awards that would be given to recognise personalities who have contributed to the advancement of women’s issues on the day of the event.
